The people would become of an abomination.

They would no longer be people. There is no thought for the soul, which is immaterial, but which makes human.

Star Trek, as popular as it is, is pure atheistic materialism in philosophy. I don't even think Christians in good conscience can enjoy it without compromise of their beliefs. It is putting falsehood before their eyes.

Whenever I see something like this I ask myself:

Why would they want to do something like this?
Who’s paying for the research?
What’s the end gal, and
Who’s going to profit from it?
