I still think of the 3’s. Not ‘seriously’, but it just seems to go that way. I’m not gonna say it’s concrete or anything lol, but it’s a ‘trend’.

I remember when Jack Lemmon died. He died with a bunch of others in mid-2000, I remember going at work to my boss ‘it seems a bunch are checking out before something big’. Then.. something big sure happened.

He attended a wild and fun cowboy party in my camp a few years ago, and he was a nice guy, everybody liked him. I am very sad to hear of his passing.

I was absolutely HEARTBROKEN to hear about Alan Rickman ... just devastated. He was one of my most favorite actors ever, so many movies he made great -- Galaxy Quest, Die Hard, Quigley Down Under, Robin Hood, Bottle Shock ... those are just the ones that come instantly to mind, there are many more. Alan Rickman IS among my top-five picks of favorite actors. God rest and keep Alan.

I was also pretty bummed at Bowie's death. While he was never a favorite, I always respected and admired his skill and gutsiness in trying new things musically, and he sure had a great voice.

Sad week to lose three great folks. Thanks, God, for lending them to us.

I’ve been told I look like rickman, so I’ll never forget that. He was skinnier than me overall though always.

And yes, he was a big loss to me too. Bowie somewhat, but Rickman was a biggie. Haggerty is a mild loss in the scheme of things, he lived longer and wasn’t as big of a deal.

Weren’t most folks in that business, in that era, big snowblowers?

I just got the feeling it was the norm.

Grizzly Adams was my grandfather’s favorite show. Fond memories. May Mr. Haggerty rear in peace.

Death? Yeah, I'd say that's a trend. No one here gets out alive, or something. I think a person who is dead now said that.

The Howie Carr radio show has a death pool. Early in the show's run, probably early in the death pool feature, it went on well over a year before one of the 40-50 notable nominees kicked off.

However, the rule-of-three happened often enough for him to wait a few days to a week or so before starting it up again to clear out any also rans.

Especially if there are any public deathwatches going on. Even then there are the Castros and Zsa Zsa Gabors...

Interesting typo in his People Magazine story:

"... Haggerty, a Thoreauback among Hollywood types,.."

“some unexplained force at work in the universe cutting down celebrities”

Probably did not believe in intelligent design either yet supported a government controlled economy believing that something as complicated as the market could be controlled.

Just missed the cut-off.

Natalie and Lemmy both died at the end of December, too. Natalie, along with Wayne Rogers, died on December 31. Lemmy passed on December 28.
