r the past 7 months, everyone has been saying that Donald Trump has finally met his demise, only to be proven spectacularly wrong. The reason they were wrong time and time again is simple: the other candidates and the moderators always attacked Trump from the left, particularly on immigration. Instead of hurting him, it always fueled Trump’s appeal. To juxtapose Wm. F. Buckley’s conservatism with Cruz’s vaporing and regional smears was quite damning and adroit. And guilt by association might not be the best weapon in the arsenal for Cruz, with Bush, Goldman Sachs, and North American Union clutter in the room.
NYC and LA are the left and right armpit of America, Cruz knows it and so do the primary voters.
Now Trump can spend the rest of race defending his “NYC values”, like queer marriage, abortion, lack of morals.

Trump is going to have to NYC values, and Bill De Blasio runs that city.
I think Trump and Cruz are desperate to find things to disparage each other about because they are so similar, so they are frankly both being ridiculous in this.
NY has LOTS more folks than New York City (NYC).
Ever been to Horseheads? Tonawanda? Chautauqua? Saranac Lake? Watertown? Liberty? Copake Lake?

Mom naturalized in ‘42, was a Citizen when The Donald was born on US soil in ‘46. The Donald is NBC, Cruz and Rubio ain’t.

This is an example of why guilt by association attacks are stupid.
Cruz should’ve responded to Trump by pointing out that those firefighters do not represent the average New Yorker as well as de Blasio does.
The firefighters weren’t voted to their positions, de Blasio was.
So, by your logic, how do New York values differ from American values, given the twice over election of Obama?
Cruz’s regional smear reveals an inept tactician, as well as a political cynic.
