Riiiight, and I’m sure no illegal immigrant in the U.S. ever voted either. Do they check ID in Canada or do they just let anyone vote like they do here?
I believe from what I have heard is Mrs. Cruz was on a voters list in Canada. They do election census taking in Canada before all elections. Yes she would have to prove her Canadian citizenship to be on voters list. That does not mean she gave up her American citizenship. I seen no evidence she did or did not give up her American citizenship. That is part of the problem Ted has not cleared this up, none of it, which seems to be a habit with him, trying to just skate by anything he would rather not be public. That is troubling in itself.
His father was not an American citizen at the time of his birth.
He would have been wise to clear this up when he first decided to run for President. When was that a year ... two years ago?
Now people are going to ask, why didn’t he clear this up? What is he trying to hide? Maybe nothing but it is all too typical Cruz and it raises questions and concerns.
This is coming at him now like a freight train and it will be used against him if he gets the nomination. I think it is stupid of him, or maybe he is hiding something. What else can we think? The dems and media will hammer him with this if he gets the nomination (which is highly unlikely with Trump’s support, but not impossible). Of course the Dems will take it to the courts and they might win BECAUSE it is NOT settled law. It has never been dealt with by the court so it cannot be settled law. It is just dumb Cruz let himself get in this position and it makes me question his ability to make wise decisions as do some other things he has done.
