Doesn’t matter. The kid is still a citizen. The Parents aren’t.
There is a much stronger court challenge to be made against Rubio being a citizen than there is against Cruz. Trump was saying over and over about birthright citizenship during the anchor baby debate that his lawyers said they don’t need a constitutional amendment to stop anchor babies because the law shouldn’t be allowing them as it is.
Even Trump has not been as forceful against Cruz’ issue. Saying a baby of a U.S. citizen is born as an illegal is a much more ridiculous notion than saying a baby born to two illegals who sneak in is not a citizen. The latter should not be a citizen and no U.S. citizens privileges are infringed upon in that case like they would be to Cruz’ mom if he was born as an automatic illegal.
