She had voting rights in Canada and was active. Voting rights in Canada are never extended to an American
“citizen”, but only to Canadian citizens.

You need to get informed. There were two stories up yesterday on the Cruz parents voting rights in Canada.

Cruz’ mother never lost her U.S. citizenship so whether she became a Canadian citizen or not is irrelevant. Ted Cruz was born a dual citizen either way due to birthright citizenship in Canada. He renounced his Canadian citizenship before running for President.
