Cruz had a chance to walk that heinous comment back tonight, but instead, he doubled down on it. That was not smart.
Just because a majority of the voters (maybe --- discounting voter fraud) voted de Blasio into the mayoral office in NYC, that does not mean that New Yorkers values are bad values, any more than the fact that a majority of Americans (maybe) voted B-O into the presidency means that the values of Americans are rotten. That claim is abhorrent prejudicial nonsense, and was a shameful thing to say.
