HOUSTON, Texas – Today, Congressman Tom McClintock of California endorsed Ted Cruz for President. McClintock has spent his time in Congress fighting for conservative principles like working to limit the size of the federal government, reign in Obama’s lawlessness, repealing Obamacare and protecting the Constitution.
“This election is too important to leave to chance,†said Rep. McClintock. “Ted Cruz is the only top tier candidate we can be absolutely certain will govern conservatively and constitutionally; who will stand his ground no matter what the pressure and articulate our positions boldly and convincingly to the American people. McClintock was very recently ripping on conservatives opposed to the Obama-GOPe agenda. I’m a bit surprised Cruz accepted his endorsement given that.

Used to live in his district (when it was Doolittle) and have friends that work for McClintock. Disappointed that he's been voting with Boehner/Ryan lately.

Yep. Doesn’t strike me as “principled conservatism” to be slumming with McClintock so soon after he quit the Freedom Caucus in a huff and took a dump on conservatives on his way out the door. He’s definitely one of those GOPers intent on redefining what conservatism is. Maybe Cruz is too? Birds of a feather and all that...

I’ve always liked him and remember when the CA GOPe tried to run him off. I have been surprised that he’s been voting with the ‘go-along’ crowd.
