The House's highest-ranking Republican woman said Thursday South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley should be judged on her abilities, not her looks, dismissing a remark by fellow Republican Rep. Steve King.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, who is fourth in leadership as the chair of the Republican Conference, was asked about King's comment to The Associated Press that Haley wasn't a "principled conservative" in the GOP, but "I think she's beautiful so I'd be happy if she's the face of the party." [...]

Haley is a fraud, I hope she is stripped of Tea Party backing and they primary Haley. I hope Trump sets up a PAC to run her out of SC.

I never see the Democrat National Committee send someone out there to be an attack dog on their own.

Part of the reason I am PO’ed is what Boss Hogg Barbour did and what Mitch Mc Turdle did going after the Tea Party. At war they are with the conservative base.
Turdle doesn’t even deserve the title Leader.

Actually, I judge on actions, not on ability. Great ability with poor actions is quite common when people have character flaws.

I think you are making the connection between Haley and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Both gave State of the Union responses, both are good lookers and, most importantly, we should judge them on what they say. Both of them were used for their public face value. I agree. Although the insane glint that sometimes appears her eyes is unsettling, and her gloating when she pulls a nasty trick is irritating. The clenched jaw and wide-eyed deer in the headlights stare are less important.

That was a stupid remark. Haley is being judged on how she would be as a VP, one heartbeat, bullet away from the presidency.

Haley isn’t principled enough, she isn’t a great speaker.
In no way does she compare with Sarah Palin who unfortunately endorsed her.

I think someone like Joni Ernst may be up to the job when she has been around a while more.

Trump will win South Carolina without her endorsement, and she will find out people in her state don’t give a crap what she thinks. I don’t think she is popular with Republicans after her speech savaging our own candidates.

That is something the Democrats never do. I can’t remember a single democrat saying anything bad about Clinton during the whole time he was being impeached.

And every Dem is still with a failure like Obama.

Sometimes making a deal for party unity pledge means if Trump or Cruz wins, you need to suck it up and vote for them.

I paid my dues, I voted for 2 Bush’s , Dole, McCain and Romney. This time I will only go vote for Trump or Cruz no more people who have no guts or are for Amnesty and Cheap Labor. I think my 5 votes for Rino’s is enough for one lifetime. I don’t think my conscious will allow me to go against my common sense just for a party that has let me down so much and attacked everything we believe in.

I’m at a loss as to what you found “stupid” about my comment that Kathy Rodgers is an idiot? I read the rest of your post and it would appear we are on the same wavelength! I don’t recall saying anything about Haley, although idiot might fit her too.
