EPA Wouldn't Tell Flint Residents About Drinking Water Hazard Cause It Would Curtail EPA Power

"You mentioned making the service better for our customers; but the American citizens aren't our customers--about 400 junk mailers are our customers.", said US Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe to Outbox founder Evan Baehr.

The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) top Midwest official knew about the Flint, Michigan drinking water crisis of 2015 months before telling the public, according to a Tuesday report by the The Detroit News.

You can't judge the motives of individuals. But these government agencies and pandemic-mega-corporations aren't individuals. Therefore, it's fair to observe, that their behavior reveals their group motives, that "by their fruits you shall know them".

The EPA isn't in the business of protecting the environment. It's in the business of unnaturally inserting itself into the economy and into Americans' lives, to maintain its own prerogatives, to show us all that it is serious about "how not to do it" (Charles Dickens, Little Dorrit 1855-1857).

It’s time to eliminate the EPA, and about a dozen other federal agencies.

Watching this story, it makes Flint look like a third world country. How does this happen in America?

I used to live there. It's pretty much spot-on.

Flint at one time was a great little town of 130,000 people. The original home of General Motors and Buick. I could tell lots of wonderful stories about it. It always had Republican mayors and people with good sense running things. Good schools. Little Flint was on the regular circuit of Broadway plays when they toured the country.

Then in the late 60s and early 70s, because of the race riots, white people got antsy and moved elsewhere, leaving the city to the democrats who brought in all their cronies and gamed the system.

This water problem is symptomatic of no true leadership. Flint is a microcosm of Detroit. In fact, Flint is where the poor of Detroit have been gravitating to in order to get away from Detroit. And as a result the criminals ride along for fun.

The lead problem is just one of many. My parents still live there in the summer. They can't walk around the block like they used to because of the pit bulls.

It really makes me sad. The Flint of my youth was a great place.

I left in 1993. I believe another 40,000 people have bugged out since then.

The EAP. A Moderate Republican’s continuous gift to the American people in an effort to get along with people who absolutely hate them and will always hate them.

Totally agree with that idea. Who will float a bill to that effect? Maybe if we could dump enough useless government agencies, then maybe we could actually bring the debt under control someday.
