Sorry, it doesn’t “lock down” this Southerner’s vote at all. Phil is coming strictly from the evangelistic standpoint, and we’re not electing a preacher, we electing a leader, and we need a strong one.

That’s why I’m voting for Ted Cruz — the strongest leader with the highest character we’ve been offered since Ronald Reagan.

He has significant influence; it’s also easy for a press given to hyperbole to overstate how much influence he has.
