In politics 19 days can be an eternity. In 19 days before my fellow Iowans caucus in local churches, schools, fire houses, and even homes the Republican field will have two more debates, we’ll be exposed countless radio and TV ads, and who knows how many trees have been sacrificed to send us mailers that most of us don’t want.

Rhetorical question:
So, the Cruz vaunted $$$$$ ground game nets $$$$$$ maybe a tie, at best, with a guy (TRUMP) who supposedly had no ground game whatsoever and who’s just now doing only two weeks worth of $ ads?
I think TRUMP will likely sweep, beginning in New Hampshire.
Do we really want an Ivy League lawyer with one term in the $inate as our president.
That hasn’t worked very well with Obama, and JFK was a disaster, who nearly got us into a nuclear war with the USSR.
America had a chance to elect a successful businessman in the 90’s. Lets not allow this opportunity get away this time!
I think the main issue with Trump and Cruz is the following:
Cruz is a well rounded conservative. Trump is an issue conservative. I think there are two camps and FR is indicative of the two camps.
Not for nothing, but this election isn’t about abortion or gay marriage. Whatever has happened in the past is not going to change this generations attitudes. If this is what your main concern is, vote for Santorum or Huckabee. That is why they are still in the race. If anything, they will take votes away from Cruz, not Trump.
Then there is the camp that the most important thing is immigration and taking the country back. They love Trump, because you know what he says he will do he will in fact do. Social issues aren’t his first and foremost priority.
Then there is Cruz, who is the whole package. He has proven himself to be a good, solid conservative. Some, including me, who really want him believe he will do what is right for the country.
What I think needs to happen is twofold. The first is we need to take our country back. This means getting our military back to where it was prior to 2008, fixing immigration once and for all and bringing back money and jobs to America.
Trump is the man for that job. I see Cruz as either his VP or AG until Ginsburg permanently nods off then on to SCOTUS. If Cruz is VP, Trump’s actions will set the stage for a Social Revolution which as VP Cruz can lead as Senate President.
Trump and Cruz are the two best to return America to greatness. Only one problem exists. If Trump wins the nomination, how does Trump select Cruz as his running mate? Cruz eligibility will still be an issue whether as VP or President. Which means, unless Trump can pick off enough blue collar democrats and minorities, he faces the same issue Romney and McCain faced.
