I don’t know anything about Haley, but either she is a mole, or she got Stockholm syndrome.
It happens to Republican after Republican: they get elected on good conservative principles, then they go to Washington and get bullied by the media and Democrats. The next thing you know, they are bending over backwards to try to prove they are not what the media/Dems say. It is classic Stockholm syndrome—a psychological defense against capture and abuse.
The best thing we can do is change the practice of sending the representatives to Washington for most of the year. Keep them home, in contact with their constituents, and let them conduct government business by phone and teleconference. Get them out of that hostile environment.
