Trump did not declare personal bk he took over troubled companies and most likely declared chapter 11 bk which is a way to reorganize a co. into a position where it can become profitable again. It is not unlikely that the creditors received the bulk if not all of the money owed them. Every time I hear this tired line of 4 bks I know it is from someone who does not know what they are talking about or are on the Dem payroll. That could have been 13 instead of 11 I am not sure.

Thank you for enlightening me, Founda, you are correct.

I just found and read the Forbes article (it can't really be linked, but it's "Fourth Time's a Charm: How Donald Trump Made Bankruptcy Work for Him, 4/29/11, and I see there is a big difference in bankruptcy types, and Chapt 11 is different. You're right -- I will strike the bankruptcy argument from my arsenal and correct when I see misused. Indebted to you.

Truth is what's right. There's truth enough of Trump's failings without making more of them up.
