You have something against salesmen?
Utah, Ryan is right, and I LOVE salesmen, I really do, I have literally written odes for underappreciated lowly "salesmen" heroes. I earn my living because of salesmen. Salesmen make the world go round far more than most people are aware.
A salesman pitches and deals for, say, a car. Or a line of brake pads. A good salesman creates a win-win situation. He not only benefits his own pocket, but the customer who gets a great car or great brake pads, as well as the companies that make the car and the brake pads.
The car buyer, the auto parts supplier buying the brake pads, aren't buying the great salesman. They're buy a car. They're buying brake pads.
Electing a great salesman and deal-maker to the White House only means that we've got a deal-maker salesman in the Oval Office, the place of government.
I'd rather have a limited government Constitutional conservative there. That would be Ted Cruz.
Those bankruptcies NECESSARILY mean that creditors, vendors, were left holding the bag and how they met their own payrolls, Trump didn't care. Rafael's ol' "Dad" Trump WELCHED on debts to save his own butt, and he did it "legally," exactly the way lawyers that Trump supporters here say they despise, advised him.
I've done my due diligence on Trump -- it's right to verify this stuff.
Sure, it's "good business" to declare bankruptcy, for the business declaring it. Not so good for the "schlonged" creditors.
Vote for putting a four-time bankrupt loser of a Republican moderate leftist in the White House at your own damned risk.
News? I believe that WordPress is for bloggers.
And the best straw of all is the one who doesn't even know he's a straw. -- Howie Carr
Howie Carr is a friend and fan of Trump, but I wonder if something like that isn't going on with Trump. That is to say, maybe somebody is flattering him and maneuvering him as part of a larger strategy. Trump may be sincere himself but somebody may be influencing and using him to achieve their own ends. All the more so if Hillary has stuff on him that will come out right before the election.
I did vote for Ross and he was very right about that giant sucking sound is your jobs going to Mexico. Course I really don’t trust any pol since it seems that a year into their DC time they suddenly sound and act like Dems. Must be something in the wine.
Trump did not declare personal bk he took over troubled companies and most likely declared chapter 11 bk which is a way to reorganize a co. into a position where it can become profitable again. It is not unlikely that the creditors received the bulk if not all of the money owed them. Every time I hear this tired line of 4 bks I know it is from someone who does not know what they are talking about or are on the Dem payroll. That could have been 13 instead of 11 I am not sure.
I just found and read the Forbes article (it can't really be linked, but it's "Fourth Time's a Charm: How Donald Trump Made Bankruptcy Work for Him, 4/29/11, and I see there is a big difference in bankruptcy types, and Chapt 11 is different. You're right -- I will strike the bankruptcy argument from my arsenal and correct when I see misused. Indebted to you.
:^)
Truth is what's right. There's truth enough of Trump's failings without making more of them up.
That ended in Nov. of 2012. It would have been four years earlier if not for Palin.
In retrospect, I thank you for your Perot vote. I'd do the same thing now. The plurality hurt Clinton and helped conservatives. And if Perot had actually won, he'd have been acceptable, if goofy.
Trump, on the other hand ... if he wins, he will embarrass at best everyone who voted for him. That's what it looks like to me when I see/read/hear him.
Who are you backing?
Has the Clinton Crime Family Money Laundering Quid Pro Quo Syndicate been indicted yet? Not yet? Why not? Plenty of indictable offenses, going back to 1994!
Trump is Trump. He’s probably not a strict ideological conservative or liberal .... He’s an American businessman. He’ll bring something very different to the table if elected — executive ability. He is not like any other pol we’ve seen and it’s tough to expect him to be. I think this is why some are so flummoxed by him.
If you study some of his earlier appearances, he’s amazingly consistent. He’s saying the same stuff he said almost 30 years ago .... He wears his hair the same way .... He doesn’t change.
