-- There are others in this country who think differently, and I expect that they will try every way they can to enforce there opinion on this. --

Their reactions will range from voting for him anyway, to not voting for him out of principle, to attempting to persuade other voters that Cruz is not qualified.

What's wrong with that? If you want the issue "settled" somehow, don't bate your breath waiting.

I'm 100% sure Cruz isn't qualified. I give 80/20 odds SCOTUS would continue to follow its precedents that say the same thing. But I have no interest in persuading you against your finding that Cruz is an NBC. As far as you are concerned, Cruz is qualified, and that's it. Everybody will get to a point on one side or the other. That's part of the political process.

With regard to my opinion about Cruz being qualified, is there a possibility that my opinion is wrong? Yes.

Is there a chance that a court would find him ineligible? Yes.

I arrived at my opinion by way of if Obama is qualified to be president, so is Ted. That combined with Ted was born to American mother satisfies me. I believe Ted was born with his citizenship, thus he’s good to go.

I also realize that there are plenty of people who do not agree with me on that, and it is possible that their opinion is legally correct, and mine isn’t. There really is no way for me to know for sure.

And I think that, unfortunately for Ted, this is going to remain an issue until it is resolved by a court one way or the other.

I don’t agree with calling people who question his eligibility stupid or kooks or whatever. There are people who call me stupid for my opinion, and I don’t agree with them either.

What I do think is stupid is to leave this matter unresolved in such a way that we could get blind sided with it at a time when we have no recourse. That, to me, seems incredibly risky.
