Trump reeks of desperation.

To Trump: If Cruz is no threat to him, he has legal standing to run. If Cruz is a threat to him, he should drop out.

Trump can't win against Cruz on merit, Trump's only play is to try to get him disqualified.

If they’re on the same side, they should be working together. I know which side Cruz is on, given his decades of actual acts and accomplishments. I know that my respect for Trump grew when they seemed to be giving each other respect and distance... but that seems to be ending. :/

People like the notion of a possible presidential team between Trump and Cruz...either or. So I predict these attacks will backfire on Trump and while he might decide to go after Cruz on other issues, attacking on this issue is a non-starter.(especially in light of Obama’s shady dealings).

Cruz has a better shot at proving his eligibility to be president than Obama ever had, so anyone trying to shoot Cruz down over this issue is wasting their time and the voters’ patience.

Me thinks Der Trumpenfuhrer knows his fake “resonance” won’t stand up to actual conservative scrutiny.

Whew!!! The butthurt-o-meter is pegged.

Welcome to the new world folks. It has a whole different look and feel to it. The good ol’ days of Republican candidates using smoke n’ mirror tactics, over promising and under delivering is officially f*ckin’ over.

God bless Donald J Trump for breaking the mold.

This is the media attempting to make one thing out of another thing.

Trump is needing to clarify if Cruz will be tried in the court of public opinion as ineligible. If he is to choose Cruz as his running mate, which he should, he needs this crap finished ASAP. Trump is choosing his words very carefully, The headlines will always get it wrong.

Trump also may be setting Obama up. If Cruz is publicly asked this spring for all kinds of details and documents, this helps the republic. Finally we can get it out there that NO LEGAL DOCUMENT has ever shown that Obama was born in the USA. Logic proves the birth certificate he put online to be an utter forgery. They didn’t have “layers” a la photoshop in 1961. This is not debatable.

The little tiny classified ad in two Honolulu newspapers around the time of Obama’s birth was CLEARLY done when bank veep Typical White (new) Granny wanted to save face with her friends and employers. Stanley Ann was supposed to come home from her “trip” (probably to an unwed mothers home in Vancouver) with no baby. Now she was Keeping her baby?? And of a different race?! That just wasn’t ok back then! So she made the announcement as if Stanley Ann had married Obama Sr., and they lived at such and such address. They NEVER lived together nor were they a couple. And none of the Obamas or Dunhams ever lived at the address in that ad.

If Cruz has to go into honest living detail with his documentation, that will show Obama was never eligible for one second, as well as showing the incredible, really unbelievable, media bias. And I like that.

Say, Jeb has lots of money and nowhere to go. Maybe he could pay his attorneys to bring suit so that Cruz can get a judicial determination with regard to this issue?

Just a point about the 1790 law that Cruz sites to defend his position, and which contains a clause which defines ‘natural born citizen’. It’s unclear from a simple reading of the language, whether it requires both parents to be citizens or just one. In addition, that law was repealed by the immigration act of 1795 and which includes no language defining ‘natural born citizen’.

As far as I know, the 1790 law is the only legislation that contains any attempt to define what a natural born citizen is, whether it requires one parent or two to be a citizen is unclear, and it ended up getting repealed 5 years later.

Cruz should cut a deal to be VP so he can be the next President.
Let Trump do all the cutting spending and other hard stuff and then take over as the good-times arrive.

Trump is a very smart man with lots of good ideas. But he reminds me of the schoolyard bullies I used to know who wouldn’t stop their bullying until you bloodied their nose.

1. March 23, 2015- THREE MONTHS BEFORE announcing that he was running for president

Donald Trump calls Ted Cruz’s Canadian birth a ‘hurdle’ as presidential candidate

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/cruz-face-birther-questions-obama-article-1.2159586

2. Out of Cruz’s own mouth, in 2012, re eligibility (talking about 0bama)

Interviewer- What is your understanding of how one becomes a natural born Citizen?

Cruz- Two citizen parents and born on the soil.

Interviewer- Not exactly, but as I don’t have enough time to fully explain how one does become an natural born Citizen, based on your understanding, would you agree that Barack Obama is ineligible to be POTUS?”

Cruz- I would agree.

Interviewer- So when we get you elected, will you expose him for the usurping fraud he is?

Cruz- No, my main focus will be on repealing Obamacare.

Interviewer- But Mr. Cruz, if he is exposed as the usurping fraud he is, everything he has done will become null and void. Everything!

Interviewer- At that point, Cruz reiterated his main concern, so it was obvious the conversation was over as far as Cruz was concerned [snip]’

http://www.newswithviews.com/JBWilliams/williams300.htm

But wait, there’s more. The rest of the article goes on to say

‘’Sen. Ted Cruz was a legal citizen of Canada when he ran for and became a U.S. Senator, without ever having disclosed his Canadian citizenship to Texas voters, which under both Texas and U.S. Election law, is an act of fraud. Ted Cruz had committed election fraud by failing to disclose to Texas voters that he was a Canadian citizen in 2012.’’

I betcha there’s legal standing here- I would guess it’s the FEC. Or maybe David Dewhurst does. Or maybe it’s the citizens of the state of Texas. We’ll see what happens.

3. Further, the North American Law Center sent a letter to Cruz on December 18. 2013- asking that he reject running for president and use that opportunity to ‘’call for the resignation of Barack Obama’’ on the grounds that he, too, is not eligible to serve as president of the United States.

You can read that letter, in it’s entirety, here

http://northamericanlawcenter.org/call-honor-senator-ted-cruz/#.Vpa5dEvxXws

(Sorry about the aberrant characters. I got rid of others, but these were too stubborn. They don’t seem to detract from the readability of the transcript)

Trump has a point...maybe it would be a good idea for Cruz to drop out. Trump may want to offer him the Attorney General position.

I still don't know why a first term senator and a so called ‘Constitutional conservative’ would have the temerity to run for POTUS knowing full well he isn't eligible.

I'm not seeing the angle here. He had to be aware of Ogabe’s eligibility questions for the last 7 years. He may not have heard it from the media until Trump introduced the subject in 2012 over the heads of the leftist media that we have a usurper as POTUS......His constituents must have sent him tens of thousands of letters and emails detailing their concerns about Barry Soetoro.

Why is Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio in this race? It smacks of a nefarious narcissistic impulse imo.

I've had enough of foreigners in the highest offices of our land. We don't need to be electing questionable citizens, we need to be deporting them.

Trump should drop out of the race for being in the control of the mob for over 30 years. We can’t have a president who is under the control of the mafia.

Trump won't or can't do that. Only the congress can. It all comes down to electoral votes AND congress certifying the winner. If congress determines that Cruz (or Obama) is qualified it's a done deal. It's why nobody has "standing" in all the suits against Obama.
