Just like Obama getting the other democrats kicked off the ballot so he could sail into the Illinois Senate.

If they’re on the same side, they should be working together. I know which side Cruz is on, given his decades of actual acts and accomplishments. I know that my respect for Trump grew when they seemed to be giving each other respect and distance... but that seems to be ending. :/

People like the notion of a possible presidential team between Trump and Cruz...either or. So I predict these attacks will backfire on Trump and while he might decide to go after Cruz on other issues, attacking on this issue is a non-starter.(especially in light of Obama’s shady dealings).

Cruz has a better shot at proving his eligibility to be president than Obama ever had, so anyone trying to shoot Cruz down over this issue is wasting their time and the voters’ patience.

When I referred to name calling, I should have stated that I was referring to Mark Levin specifically, and not to Cruz.

I listen to him each night, and it annoys me how he belittles people who do question this. Calling them stupid is not going to make the issue go away, Mark. It’s not going to convince them that they are wrong.

Some people look at that clause in the Constitution and say this is what it says, and this it what it means. And I do not think it’s an attack form the left either. It’s an argument born out of Article II of the Constitution, and it could have serious repercussions in a court.

So yeah, that line of my post is directed at Levin, and I should have said that.

As far as a calculated risk, yes, I would agree with that. This is basically a Catch 22 SNAFU here.

I like both candidates. But both have weaknesses.
It is a shame Trump does not have the conservative conscience and constitutional knowledge that Cruz has.
It is a shame that Cruz does not have the ability to communicate his stances as Trump can.

I think what Ted lacks is what Trump has in spades.

Ted can eloquently articulate his points with a sharp nuance.

Donald lays it out in plain English.

This means that Cruz reaches those with an intellectual bent for language and the Constitution.

A person with a large vocabulary and a sophisticated lexicon can only reach those that possess the same or greater skills.

A person who speaks at a sixth grade level can reach nearly everyone.
The Donald knows this, and uses it. He is the master of the Tweet, and that is precisely why.

This does not mean Trump can not articulate in an eloquent manner, he simply chooses not to.

Cruise can definitely beat him in the debate, but 70% of the country will call it a one sided Trump victory.

The media will try to educate the populace and declare Cruz the rightful winner.

That is the one thing I find troublesome about Cruz. I think both the GOPe and the Dems as well as the Media would be far more comfortable with a Cruz nomination. He is, after all, part of the system, and may not be as aggressive in tearing down the wall of lies, deceit, and corruption.

It didn’t make one iota of difference in either one of the elections in which Obama won.

I don’t see how a certified nut filing a lawsuit makes any difference.

>>Trump reeks of desperation.

Me thinks Der Trumpenfuhrer knows his fake “resonance” won’t stand up to actual conservative scrutiny.

This progressive piece of garbage has met a man he can't intimidate or pay off.

Please, Trump is playing Cruz like a fiddle. If Cruz does not address this soon, he will fall behind Rubio, if he hasn't already. If Cruz does address it, he will only bring more attention to the fact he was not born in USA and Trump was right again. Can't be intimidated indeed!

I believe the Secretary Of State of Texas would have standing.
If so he should bring a case to quickly lay this to rest.
Trump has nothing to gain by doing so.

Trump offered prescient advice on how to deal with this. It could’ve been a dead issue, by now, if CRuz would’ve only heeded the timely advice.

What’s he hiding, that he won’t have the Declaratory Judgement filed? Maybe nothing at all, but it sure makes it look fishy. Just do it, and be done with it. That would be the best way to get EVERYONE to stop talking about it. Maybe he will.

I think Cruz will allow Trump to continue digging this hole. And when it is brought up at the debate (AS IT WILL) Cruz will have a crushing rebuttal. If he doesn’t, it will have an affect on his polls and support.

Cruz is showing his rebuttal and it’s weak: “Trump is a NY Liberal, pay no attention to the issue, bla bla bla.”

If Trump were the Conservative hero that so many here worshipfully assume, he would continue to work with Cruz. They will need each other greatly, should either of them win.

Either that, or maybe Trump isn't motivated by what many here seem to assume.

My problem is that there are double standards in this country all day long, and I don’t trust judges at all, and I frankly would prefer that the SCOTUS didn’t exist at all, because what it amounts to is 9 lawyers being able to make whatever they vote on on any given day the law of the land, and we have no recourse to that.

Very troubling to me. I don’t believe in lawyer gods.
