Vietnam War was stupid.
I don’t know much about it, I am ashamed to admit, but I do know that our soldiers didn’t deserve the condemnation they were receiving back here for going to fight. Nobody ever gave LBJ crap for bringing America into the war. Meanwhile, our soldiers were held in contempt by the media and by crazy hippies. That’s disgraceful.
Jane Fonda thought so too.
And I have Marine friends who served in Nam who may not appreciate Don using the song.
