A man who told police he was stabbed with a screwdriver in a Palo Alto parking garage by is now accused of making up the story.
Over the summer, 19-year-old Jesus Cabrera told police he was verbally harassed by three white men, authorities said. He said the men made disparaging remarks about his ethnicity, and police in turn investigated the incident as a hate crime. He was arrested Friday after police say he admitted to making up the story.
Police say Cabrera now claims he was stabbed by a rival graffiti crew in East Palo Alto while he was tagging a bridge overpass. Cabrera has been charged with falsely reporting a crime, a misdemeanor.
"Resources, overtime patrols, canvassing, follow-up interviews, many different things will go into this," Palo Alto Police Lt. Brian Philip said. "Unfortunately, all of those resources were wasted for something that didn't occur."
should be more than a misdemeanor.

Greenberg Traurig LLP’s luxury building, and many other high-tone companies are in the same complex, are in East Palo Alto. They have an Ikea, Home Depot, etc. in East Palo Alto. I’m sure those all aren’t black or Asian people.
The parking garage where this happened is in Palo Alto on University, downtown. The man is from East Palo Alto. I’ve parked there many times. It’s probably nicer than any parking structure in the world.
I’m familiar with downtown. Until recently the wife and I owned a business on University near Ramona.

The Spanish Inquisition had it right. If you falsly accused someone to the inquisition, your sentence was the same as whatever crime you accused someone else of committing.
There is no crime in falsely accusing White People of crimes that they didn’t commit.

If these filthy race card players actually do get confronted, they will have pushed someone too far and likely won’t be the complainant.
The police become suspicious when he said one of his attackers was named Pontius Pilate
