I understand but you can believe that would not be taken seriously if Cruz were a Democrat for one instant.

It would be cast as falling comfortably within what “natural born” really means and as conspiracy-theory and empty-headed hate mongering and the politics of personal attacks.

And at this point, I see no reason not to interpret his birth as “natural born.”

Look at how these definitions are being used on illegal immigration.

So someone born here illegally of illegal immigrant parents would qualify to be President, but Cruz somehow wouldn’t?

No, because per the wording of the 14th amendment itself, for a child of immigrants to be born a natural born US citizen, they have to be "under the jurisdiction thereof" of the US government, meaning either that the parents are citizens or that the parents are here legally (abiding by our laws, and hence, under our jurisdiction).

We may now be allowing anchor babies, but that is actually totally illegal under the 14th amendment.

I can not believe this same argument would be made if say Hillary was the subject.

I am so fed up with situational ethics, we here all know if the other side had a detestable candidate with exactly the same birth facts there would be endless threads here explaining why he was unqualified. D@/\/\ /\/ I hate lawyers.
