Yeah. Because when I have theological questions, the first place I usually turn is David Brooks. I get stock advice from my plumber, too.

That's okay because I openly question your IQ.

"You ain't seen nuthin' yet", as the old saying goes.

This is what has happened over and over to Cruz and most of the attempts to compromise him and his efforts have come from his own party in terms of the GOP establishment.

Simply put: Cruz is not only playing against the OTHER team.. he's also playing against his OWN team.

This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever read in my life. And it is not just the pants:

I openly question the News Media’s patriotism. They seem constantly to uphold Communism. Why is that?

"a non-white presidential candidate like Ted Cruz "

What? By appearance, he is descended from the same Celtic stock that populated every area of Europe -- most heavily in Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Italy. "White" Celtic Europeans from Spain settled in the Americas. I have friends born in Puerto Rico with Scottish surnames. One also finds the surname Cruz in parts of Ireland and Scotland.

Racism gone wild.

Okay, I give up, what's the Haley case?

NYT's 'Conservative' Brooks Rips Cruz's 'Pagan Brutalism.' Here's The REAL Reason He Hates Cruz.

You really are something else...
How dare you question not only Cruz’s religious convictions but you openly make a personal attack against a long time FReeper whom has a rock solid record of being a solid, intelligent conservative.

Shameful.

Why can't I? He's in bed with heretics. Therefore, he is not a Christian, as people keep claiming.

but you openly make a personal attack

After he personally attacked me. Pretty interesting how one sided the Cruz-"Christians" are in their outrage.

https://www.oyez.org/cases/2003/02-1824

court case where TX tried to give him an extended sentence as a habitual offender, but apparently he was innocent of the previous crimes. So scotus overturned, didn't even get to his ineffectual counsel that was appeal basis. I'm on phone and quick search, so little info I see says Cruz was in the wrong on this one, but as TX AG (think he was at the time) he didn't have a choice to not argue it

Trump has never said Cruz is not a Christian. That is a lie.

C’mon, get serious. And with his statement, “To the best of my knowledge, not too many evangelicals come out of Cuba”, Trump couldn’t possibly have been referring to Ted Cruz, now could he?

Doesn’t it bother you just a little bit that Donald Trump, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, the Washington Post and the New York Times are all aligned in their “doubt” about Cruz’s eligibility?

“Utterly shameful. There are legitimate arguments to be made for and against the positions of all the candidates on issues — but attacking their religion is not one of them, whether it’s Cruz, Carson, or any of the others.”

Using one’s faith as a campaign tool is pretty shameful too.

He questioned your integrity... because you were attacking a man’s religion. I think that is fair game.

You on the other hand immediately started insulting DD’s intelligence...
