Cars are tools that are involved in about as many deaths as guns. If you are a driver prone to drinking and driving, should we only allow you to drive an ultracompact car? Not an SUV which could kill more people? No, we take away the drunk driver’s access to legally drive any car. This is about freedom to do as you like until you prove incapable of showing good moral judgment.In this country, we give freedom and take it away once you prove to be unworthy of the freedom we have given you. Nobody suggests taking away cars or going through a battery of tests to determine whether or not you might be a drunk driver one day.

Anyone who proposes solutions to crime that involve disarming the victim side, or makning it in any way, more difficult for the victims to efend themselves, is not proposing any friendly solution to law abiding people preyed on by armed thugs.

They are proposing idiocy which will harass and get defenseles, law abiding people murdered. And they are totally happy with this ocurring.

The solution to armed criminal thugs is not a disarmed victim population. Never has been. If so, the police will do their jobs in the same world as the rest of us, and do so infinitely better, unarmed.

Zero wonders if the shooting of the Philadelphia cop in his car was terrorism. He also believes gun control is the way to keep guns away from people like him, regardless of the fact that the handgun was a stolen one. Our wimp leader is completely demented. This is crazy insane. I think we really need to hit them uard on their solutions by embarrasing them and showing how unworkably stupid and naive their proposals are.

Anyone who proposes the “common sense, safe” solution to armed criminal thugs is a disarmed victim population, is not qualified to give such advice to the rest of us in the real world.

For example, when rich peoples’ safety and security are reviewed, do security companies tell them the safest thing they can do is give up their guns and get guns out of the house? Or do they surround them with gun toting security people? Do they suggest that the adults conceal carry and wear ballistic armor?

Is security like this only for rich people? Do the regular people just have to die disarmed? We are just not as important and our lives and kids lives are expendable? Only the better people in society get to protect themselves?

You're one hundred per cent correct. But how do you embarrass someone who has no shame? I know how liberals think. I used to be one although I was and still am fiercely pro Second Amendment. How do you convince the unconvincible? I come from a large family. My father, who proudly proclaims himself to be a fascist thinks no one other than the police and the military should have guns. One of my younger sisters is a moron who has joined that idiotic "Mothers For Sensible Gun Control'' or some such nonsense and is all over Facebook shouting her stupidity to the world and one of my younger brothers is the same way. Obamots, all of them. We can't talk politics. It's forbidden(except when they decide it's ok to have an opinion). It's heart breaking. Sorry to sound depressing my friend but America shes a gotta big a problems, you know what I mean?

Well you not be able to do it to people that are the leaders necessarily, but the mindless followers who have never really been around those who have put forth a rational rebuttal,,or even heard one. It might get stuck in their head and start bothering them because they can’t figure out a better rebuttal to your objection, because there isnt one. No think mantras dont hold up well for very long and if you can get them to see where one fails then theystart questioning others.

It does happen and can happen. Anyone in college who goes from idealistic slogan idiot liberal to foundational framework conservative is one its haplened to. Lots of young people go that way, and I did. Long time ago.

Well, I'm still hopeful. Glad to hear of your conversion. My transition from screaming leftie to determined conservative came when I stopped drinking twenty five years ago. The two are a lot a like.
