Are there any state capitols anymore that aren't Democrat strongholds? They have thousands of union organized government employees in those cities who most often do not reflect the views of the majority of the state.
Montgomery, AL, is one of the few with a GOP Mayor, although the city is majority Black and the county as a whole usually votes Democrat.
Sadly, most state capitols have not elected GOP Mayors in years. I live in one (Nashville), and we haven’t elected a GOP Mayor in 130 years (since Grover Cleveland’s 1st term). It is utterly at odds with the heavily GOP state and state government with a barking moonbat ultraleftist Mayor and Council.
