Reading the board the last couple days, I sense Trump’s schtick starting to wear a little with some of his supporters.
He already had his go around with her. What’s the upside of dragging it out again?

Bashin Megyn Crowley never gets old. We are loving it. :-)
Agree. I don't get it. To make a metaphor, it looking like Trump is trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory just like the Bengals did the other night against the Steelers.
If you won the battle, there is no sense in trying to rub it in. There could be a couple of 15 yard penalties coming up here.
He drags it out because it's all he's got. In a political conversation, he's too shallow to address real issues with any depth. For example, McCain attacked him and when Trump defended himself, all he could think of to disparage McCain was that McCain was a "loser" in every way from being captured and a POW to losing to Obama in '08 after Trump endorsed McCain. Going after McCain's "failure" as a warrior in combat was all that he could come up with when defending himself against one of the most blatant traitors to conservatism in a long time.
He attacks Cruz from the left with his birther schtick. HE attacks Cruz from the left by LYING about Cruz's consistent position on ethanol. It's all Trump's got.
Sooner or later it's going to start dawning on people that the reason Trump adopts these poor approaches is because they're all he's got.
