Michigan set a new record in December on background checks of firearm purchasers, as gun dealers around the state report a sharp spike in sales since the mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., and subsequent debate about gun control.
"It's been said that Obama is the best kind of salesman (for guns) and that's pretty much the truth," said Brian Laskowsky at Moose Creek Archery Gun/Tackle in Lansing.
Traditionally, his store is busiest during deer-hunting season, he said, but "that's nothing compared to this."
"This is a small shop," Laskowsky said. "If I sell three guns a day, that's a decent day. But I've been selling seven to 10 a day."

I’m not buying any guns this year. As a charter member of the FR Canoe Club, I just can’t afford it. About the time that I get them sighted in and customize everything so that they shoot well, I take them fishing in celebration, and . . .

HOORAY individuals in Michigan.
It’s always good to be prepared. Responsibility of a good parent, sibling, family member. Respect the rest.

The gun salesman in chief is doing a bang up job.
I have a friend who complained that this is driving up the cost of firearms............Is this true?
I can't verify his claim since I haven't looked at firearms for several years now...........

AR’s are at the best prices in years, as are mags.....they are nowhere close to the 2013 craze.
Buy em cheap and stack em deep.

Just curious, do you know how much of "Dearbornistan" is comprised of Chaldeans?
Oh, and do you know what a Chaldean is?

I know that the Chaldeans are Christian. And I know that there are a lot of muslims in Dearborn, hence the name Dearbornistan.

An undeserved name given by the ignorant such as you who are clueless to the fact that Chaldeans vastly outnumber the Muslims in Dearborn.
But then again, my experience with having to deal with east coast Pennsylvanians shows they're nothing more than perpetually pissed off blowhards anyway........

All for show. When the chips are down, most people will capitulate, guns or no guns. This isn’t are forefather’s country any more. It isn’t even that of those who served in WWII.

Clearly, some sort of accessory that releases an attached float would be a big seller. It could be offered in olive drab, flat dark earth - all the "tactical" colors...

I have a friend who complained that this is driving up the cost of firearms............Is this true? There may be some low-production firearms that are in higher demand right now (example: Kel-Tec .22Magnum pistol - it's down to luck or waiting lists). Most common and popular makes and models are in pretty good supply right now, no pressure on prices... yet.
