It’s not the least bit difficult to understand for those of us who have worked in the Intelligence Community for more than 24 hours. Hillary violated numerous federal regulations and broke a multitude of laws - any one of which would already have me and my colleagues in prison and answering endless streams of very uncomfortable questions.
What’s repeatedly missing in the stories about her emails is the fact that Hillary was one of but a handful of federal officials entrusted with ORIGINAL CLASSIFICATION AUTHORITY. She not only knew that what she was doing was illegal, but recognized classified information whether it was marked as such or not.
At least she SHOULD know it. She is is completely incompetent if she does not understand it.
Not only is she the primary originator for her Department, all users of classified material should be able to recognize it, whether it is marked or not.
