I meant to add that I think Cruz has a problem, and if that's true, then the Republicans, especially the conservatives, and the GOPe have a Cruz problem.

And, if all that is true, by drawing attention to this possibility, as he is at this time, it's easy to see Trump as purposefully coming to the timely rescue of a lot of people, including young Mr. Cruz, before real damage is done.

Setting his persona aside for a second, Trump seems to have a better view of things than pretty much everyone else, so I think I'll just mentally place my bets and wait and see what happens next.

The last time I got schooled, "Always choose Black" was an eye and heart opening truth I learned the hard way. I think I'll do better the next time I play, but then, that would be cheating.

Ted Cruz has no natural-born-citizen qualification problem. He does have a serious problem getting nominated and then elected. It won’t be easy.

I infer that Donald Trump has formed the opinion that if he doesn’t knock out Ted Cruz in Iowa, he is going to lose the nomination to Ted. So he is going all-out to accomplish that goal, by any means at his disposal. Mr. Trump apparently has also formed the opinion that he is immune from damaging his own reputation by lying about Ted Cruz. We’ll find out soon enough if his judgment about this is correct. I’ve switched my preference from Trump to Cruz because of this, but I may be unrepresentative of the average Republican voter.
