I had the misfortune of being sued by a family member. It was probably the maddest I ever got in my life. The situation was this: I had just gotten married and as my wife and I left on our honeymoon, I allowed my sister to stay in our apartment while we were gone.

Big mistake. She had an after-reception party at the apartment that night and one of my cousins, who was already extremely intoxicated from the wedding reception, kneeled down by my dog, grabbed her by the neck and shook her. In self-defense, my dog bit her in the nose and made a slight puncture. So I come back from my honeymoon to find out my own cousin is suing me for something like $50,000. I flew into a rage and called my aunt (her mother) and laid into her as I know she's the one that put my cousin up to it. It got nasty for a while and she was finally forced to drop the suit when I lined up a dozen witnesses to say that she was intoxicated and aggressively instigated my dog.

So if I ever run for president myself, the above is my version of events and I'm sticking to it!
