There's no need to guess.
He outperforms Trump in a one-on-one match-up against Hillary and he has a much lower unfavorable rating than Trump.
He will still be beholden to the powers that be. A Cruz presidency could really benefit from a Trump presidency first. Trump is opening the curtains on the oligarchy and the winged monkey slave media. Trump will face all kinds of obstacles but they can’t get his children or grandchildren who will be protected independently.
That is always the way to get someone short of death, and worse than death: threaten their children. Cruz would be a goner. I am hoping Trump takes Cruz as his veep.
You need to understand how evil the oligarchy (and their international partners) will get. Cruz doesn’t have the independent means. He could do more with his brain and patriotism after Trump cleans the swamp.
It’s not the 1980s where we pick according to morals and issues. We’ve lost our Constitution and I’d rather fight to get it back bloodlessly first.
