What I like about Trump is he appeals to blacks. Not just a few lonely outcasts, but the average working stiff who is tired of Mexicans getting all the jobs. To them, Trump is NY, cool, brash and they like him. The Republican politicians, even Cruz, seem to them as pasty, stuffy white folks. They don’t warm to them. Carson, of course, could pick up some black votes, but even he might get hit with the Uncle Tom label and not do as well as you would think. Trump, people like him, blacks, hispanics and blue collar whites. Only the Moslems hate him. Which is good. Anyone who they like (Bush, Kasich) is not going to be a good candidate.

Agree completely. When I was analyzing the 2014 Texas election, getting the black vote wasn’t on the radar, but ANY IMPROVEMENT in their votes will have a HUGE IMPACT in many key states, as many of those states don’t even have a significant Hispanic vote...which is another aspect...

Hispanics matter in Florida somewhat (Cubans don’t count), in Colorado and New Mexico. But the VAST MAJORITY of them are in states like Texas and especially California, where they make absolutely no difference. So if you’re going to turn off 5 Republican Whites to pick up 1 Hispanic in a key state, are you really doing yourself any favors?

(and by “turn-off”, I don’t mean the they’ll vote Democrat, but instead they won’t be excited to vote Republican, and just may not vote, if it means taking off from work, for example).
