So those quotes from Trump are false? Is that your position? Trump never said any of the above? Or do you just make the people quoting Trump's own words the issue when you're losing the argument?

Take a deep breath. No, those quotes are not false, but the meaning being attributed to them is. This is what I said in a previous post on the subject, and represents my thoughts on it:
If you want to deal with your enemies, you have to be able to honestly assess their strengths and weaknesses. Anyone without an agenda to push could see that that’s what Trump was engaging in, especially with regards to his remarks about Kim Jong Un. He hasn’t minced words that he’s a dangerous nut job.
With Putin, same thing, except in his case, Trump has tried to make the case that it might be wrong to assume that Russia is our enemy, at least in every situation, and that it might be worth pursuing some common ground.
Reasonable statements to any reasonable person, but scandalous if you’re someone desperately trying to score some cheap political points.
OK, next I expect you’ll be stomping your feet, and holding your breath till you turn blue. If you’re not careful, you might just burst a blood vessel or two.
