I would bail my small town out of debt with the stipulation that they don’t raise taxes and that they stay out of debt.
Then I would buy a piece of property close by and build two indoor tennis courts with amenities and have my tennis buddies over every day.
Go ahead and bail out your small town, but don’t expect any government to stick to an agreement of any sort. They simply do not. Oh it will be on down the road, but they will break any agreement.
