Don't spin and change the subject. Face it, Trump is blatantly and shamelessly lying. Stop trying to put lipstick on a pig.

If he wants to "engage", he needs to actually make a factual and coherent case. If he is unable to do that, he should just shut up instead of trying to turn the republican primary into a mud wrestling match.

Didn’t know that about diesels. Learn something new everyday.

Cruz stated in private before a group of donors that he did not trust Trump with nuclear weapons.

I have yet to see a Trump supporter post the actual quote.

It's almost Trumpesque.

Let's see what that Ted Cruz actually said:

"You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it's given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face?" Cruz was quoted asking.

"Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."

That's quite an attack. I don't know how poor Donald survived.

Only two candidates are against ethanol: Rand and Cruz.

So yes, on this issue Cruz is the most conservative, but he’s trying to hide the fact that his stance is anti-ethanol.
*******************************************************************************
Sorry but you are wrong. Cruz is NEITHER “anti” ethanol or “pro” ethanol. He is for the free market economy and the millions of individual potential ethanol consumers and the ethanol producers to be free to decide the right amount of production and consumption of ethanol AND TO GET THE GOVERNMENT OUT OF THOSE personal decisions by its mandating AND/OR restricting ethanol.

It’s called the free market and it can work magic.

Trump knows he can count on the wrestling supporters not to know he’s lying.

Funny you should say that. Last night Mrs. Dartman (who is not really too politically involved) asked me why it is Trump is getting tens of thousands at his appearances, but only has a slight lead in the polls. I just off handily said, it's kind of like pro wrestling or NASCAR, a lot of people show up but it doesn't mean much. BTW, Trump has always been behind ethanol, just about the worst thing you could ever put in a gas tank.

I’d prefer that the government stay as far away from the commerce of the people as possible, only interfering to ensure that commercial disputes can be settled impartially between the parties and by providing a fair, equitable, and stable legal environment in which commerce can be conducted with confidence.

Now look at what he said right before that: "Both of them I like and respect," Cruz said of Trump and Carson. "I don't believe either one of them is going to be our president,"

Then he went into your quotes. So Cruz did ask if Donald Trump should have his 'finger on the button.' If you attack Trump you're going to be attacked back.

"Rush by the way said regarding Trump answering a birther question about Cruz was that he was not going to get in the middle of it."
Too late now. Rush has been in the middle of it for 6 months. Rush says he doesn't endorse in the primaries. Why bother? The positive earn media that Rush has given Trump since he announced might as well be a de facto endorsement. All are amazed by how little Trump has spent on the campaign. Why bother spending when you have what amounts to 3 hours a day, 5 days a week of free advertising on the Radio. And that doesn't even account for the Rush minion shows that follow him on the air.

Personally, I would much prefer to convert all motor vehicle fuel to Compressed Natural Gas, using swap-out filled tanks for the near-empty tank, and altering the engine design to run on CNG or other bottled pressurized LPG fractions (ethane, propane, butane).

Diesels can run perfectly well on CNG, as well as spark-ignition engines. The technology is well proven and has been in use for decades.
********************************************************************************
I’m for letting the millions of Americans make their own personal choices. I like the idea of a CNG powered vehicle for my own use...but won’t go down that road until the market brings down the cost of manufacturing those vehicles and more “gas stations” offer CNG as a choice. That day is coming and the market will decide when the best time is for it to come.

Hey!! Nobody ever said your engine had to last forever. If it’s ethanol that kills your engine, so be it...it’s for the common good. /sarc

Of course Cruz was referring to Trump and Carson.

One of the primary criteria for determining a candidate's suitability for the office of President is the suitability of his temperament with regard to "having his finger on the button."

If Trump takes offense to this, he is either an idiot or ultra-sensitive to critical evaluation.

Or lying about actually taking offense.

With Trump, it's hard to tell, because he's so dishonest.

Ted Cruz wants to get government out of the business of micro-managing every detail of the economy and Trump is saying he’s perfectly OK with government doing that micromanagement.

Comprehension is clearly not your thing.

"It is one thing to engage, but what Trump is doing is lying out his a$$. Cruz proposed legislation in 2014 for a 5 year phase out of ethanol and that is still his position today."

Yeah, he's kind of late to the party, following the many sources which confirmed your point and even the correction made by the original source who claimed Cruz flipped. But, I mean, consider who you're dealing with here. He's got to try and fling some crap.

But I think that the more opens his mouth, the more ridiculous he becomes in the minds of Iowan - and all informed conservative voters.

Currently, most voters are in states where their primaries are at some distance, and what they know about trump is from his reality TV show, or that he’s a billionaire. He has near-universal name recognition.

But to the degree that generally low-information or no-information voters become better informed, if they are liberal, they might continue to approve of trump. He’s one of them. But for conservatives, as they become better informed, they will turn away from the clown.

A Freeper who knows something about the situation with Rush said that, in his mind, he’s still the insecure fat kid, and he likes feeling as though he’s part of certain social groups.

So I guess he’s indulging his insecurities at the expense of his credibility.

Yes, a lot of liberals even come out to his campaign shows, but they do not plan on voting for him.

His support is not as deep as his supporters have you to believe he has.

It’s all smoke and mirrors... Soon that will be seen after the real voting starts.

Pay no attention to the blond haired shag top entertainer man behind the curtain, its nothing but a show.

Trump is blatantly and shamelessly lying.

Garbage, Cruz is flop-flopping just like he did on Muzies, the wall, amnesty, TPA, Iran deal and much more. Cruz has been unbelievably weak in the Senate and in this campaign. Trump has been attacked nop-stop and from every angle. You and your ilk had no problem and cheered it on, cited sources like salon and other left wing blogs. Now that Cruz gets some heat you all are beside yourselves. Man-up, this is politics. Cruz has been riding Trump's coattails this whole time. And now that he has to stand on his own, it's suddenly unfair? I think not.

"But Trump has also appeared on the shock-jock’s show multiple times since the 1990s to field questions about everything from the size of his genitalia to premature ejaculation, sleeping with another man’s girlfriend and his wife’s bathroom habits."

Thank you for posting that link. I was aware of the things you mention but I didn't have your source.

I've always known Trump is a sleazebag. Yet we have people here photoshopping him as George Washington. It's a disgrace.
