This guy demonstrated not only a lack of consideration for his fellow commuters but a lack of awareness by running his mouth on public transit. They suffer from the presumption that everyone in their vicinity shares their liberal opinions. To them, the nuts are always "down there."
To 95% of Massholes, they KNOW everyone agrees with them, and yes, they have no problem making Massholes out of themselves in public!
I will bet you a C note that there was no one on the other end of that phone.
