Not necessarily “stupid” but a fully invested Dhimmi.
Political Correctness, in the insistence that we have no right to “discriminate” on the basis of religion, has conflated Islam, which is an ideology, with some twisted form of the Abrahamic religions, Judaism and Christianity, with its only connection being the illegitimate son of Abraham with Hagar, his indentured servant (OK, let’s say it, SLAVE), the “father” of the Arabs, Ishmael. Hagar and Ishmael were driven into the wilderness after the birth of Isaac, Abraham’s only legitimate heir.
We are all familiar with the passages from the Old Testament relating to the sacrifice of the son of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac, at the demand of the Lord, as the measure of Abraham’s devotion. The fact that Abraham was so very troubled at the prospect, brought a stipulation from the Lord that a sheep may be substituted for the sacrifice, and Isaac was spared, to go on to found the Jewish branch of the Semites.
Only, Mohammed Ali, a sun-crazed old sand hermit who was suffering from a very noticeable affect which has the appearance of schizophrenia, misinterpreted the texts, or maybe just edited them to his satisfaction, and turned the story around to where Sarah and Isaac were driven into the wilderness, and Ishmael was the son offered up for sacrifice, but was spared by a manifestation of some divine spirit who insisted on being addressed as “Allah”.
After dictating most of the content of an obscure screed now known as the Koran to others (Mohammed Ali was most probably near illiterate), Mohammed then airily dismissed all the earlier Torah and Old and New Testament scriptures, forbidding any of his followers from even consulting them in any form of further research. When Mohammed Ali and his followers managed to engender great enmity upon themselves, this small group went into flight, from Mecca to Medina. While in Medina, the enraged and fuming Mohammed swore vengeance upon his enemies, and transcribed all this into the remainder of the Koran, abrogating any of the more peaceable messages that may have once been included in the teachings. Essentially, the Koran became an instruction book to convert others on threat of death, enslave those who were willing to subordinate the practice of whatever religion they used to have to worship of Allah, or be put to death on the spot, no mercy, no clemency, no appeal.
There is no possibility that the law code, Shari’ah, written in the Koran in support of this spread of the “religion” by threat of death, is in any way compatible with the laws of most nations founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Two very important foundations are missing. In Islam, there is NOTHING remotely like the Golden Rule, or anywhere is there a table in the Koran or various Hadiths based on the Koran, resembling in the least, the Ten Commandments. So it is OK for Muslims to kill, disrespect the rights of others, and bear false witness to “protect” the concept of Islam. And of course, covet the possessions of their (non-Muslim) neighbors.
Which comes down to a very twisted “morality”, a sort of “Heads I win, tails you lose” interpretation of every coin-toss applied to any dispute.
Rather like trying to set up housekeeping with scorpions. If the True Believer in Islam is not radicalized, he may become radicalized at a moment’s notice, unpredictably and with a storming fury of vengeance and unbridled hatred.
The Koran says it is OK to do this.
Islam spread by threat of death. Christianity spread by the good news of eternal life.
