I was speaking ore to bringing impeachment proceedings against a lawless president instead of giving him everything he wants and ‘just waiting till he’s out of office’ till they decide they can do something about it
It was Thomas Jefferson who said, “Impeachment is a farce and will not be tried again.”
It’s been tried a couple of times since his day, but it is still a farce. Because of its nuclear nature, it is a fairly weak threat. I really don’t much blame the Republican Congress for avoiding it like the plague. It doesn’t work, it’s an empty threat. If the minority party stays firm and unified, it’s inherent weaknesses likely cannot be overcome.
I mean, heck, in 1998, clinton was guilty as sin of a felony. But the dammocraps couldn’t be moved.
