The year 1913 was a real statist trifecta, what with the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments plus the Federal Reserve Act. If I were a triskaidekaphobe, that’d be the year I’d point to for justification of same.

Good observation. Any one of those three hellish changes was bad enough, but all three on the same year?

We’re still suffering in the darkness.

By the way, too few people are aware of the damage done by the 17th Amendment, how that made each senator a “national” senator and loyal to the federal government as opposed to their states.

One of the amendments passed by A convention of states should repeal the 17th.
