I’m not at all stooping...What I wrote is very true...many Mobsters have been guilty, and for that matter criminals in general, who have escaped even being indicted yet were guilty of crimes. We all know the courts are often equally as corrupt as well.
Furthermore... Trump’s running as a pro-cop, anti-thug “law-and-order” candidate who has denounced rioters in Baltimore and Ferguson and vowed to “get rid of gang members so fast your head will spin.” ......so you can bet if he’s “dirty” it will be an issue in the election.
Trumps already refereed to such...though of course not by name....as well as saying he’s used so called “loopholes” to obtain what he’s wanted as well as other means used for leverage.

Being investigated but not indicted nor convicted also happens to those who are not guilty of the allegations. Just because the system doesn't always work perfectly, doesn't mean it didn't work in this situation. Under the standard you seem to be applying, how would Trump clear his name from these allegations?

It would be almost impossible to be a major player in the NYC building trades in the 1980s and not have contact with alleged mobsters. The mob dominated the cement industry, trucking, and all the trade unions. This is before the RICO prosecutions gutted the mob. Has anyone with real credibility accused Trump of being mobbed-up? John Zaccaro, the husband of Geraldine Ferraro, had more serious allegations of mob ties and it had little or no effect on the 1984 election. I am sure this issue will be raised and I'm Trump will slap it down with little or no problem, in all likelihood, with Mr. Mob-Buster himself, Rudy Giuliani at his side.

"Loopholes" can mean lots of things other than mob involvement. It is this type of inference that the Trump supporter, rightfully, balk at.
