She was BORN in the US. That is, when her mother gave birth to her through the birth canal they were both at the time within the borders of the United States and in fact in the continental United States.

Rafael Cruz has publicly stated that he remained a citizen of Canada until he renounced his Canadian citizenship when he applied for and became a Naturalized citizen in 2005.
