Not that I mind, at all. They are invariably friendly and polite, and, frankly, their Spanish is considerably better than the typical Spanish of the Panamenos.

I may pick your brain concerning a few things to do down there when we catch up with my relatives. We found a cocoa farm that can be visited a few hours outside of the city. I have also heard there’s a great restaurant buffet near a Panama Canal museum.
