While that would be better, it would be a lot harder to pull off, first because the networks would demand lots of money for it as a campaign ad, which would not apply to Obama.
However, the real problem is getting an audience *small* enough for Trump to do a town hall. His last one in Lowell, Massachusetts (pop. about 110,000), drew a capacity crowd of 8,000 + SRO, and lots of people were outside and couldn’t get in. Traffic jam as well.
If the NRA did one, offering it as a free live feed to any cable competitor of CNN, it would really suck the juice out of CNN’s ratings, while giving the public a strong shot of gun liberty from people who know what they are talking about and can prove it.
As well as put to the lie what Obama and his scoundrels are doing. They can really cite constitutional law, statute law and regulations, congressional opposition, etc., and blow every one of his ideas out of the water.
