A relative of mine belongs to senior citizen’s police support group. During a monthly meeting earlier this week, the police told them that the teenager in the street flying a drone over people’s back yards may not be just playing around with a new Christmas toy. Thieves are using drones to scope out back yards, etc. looking for items they can steal. Kids that are so inclined are using their drones to find bikes that they can take.
Good to know I have some AAA in my den, then.
Makes perfect sense that the criminal element will put drones to use, even flying at higher altitudes they can get great photos with digital cameras.
Maybe. Maybe not. Probably not.
Exactly
Question is, just what can a person do for security?
Cover everything!
I remember the aircraft plant in california during ww2 painted the roof of the plant to look like a hillside.
And a smart person can come up with a defensive solution, such as an air cannon that shoots weighted dyneema fishing lines with weights, as a fisherman i can attest to the height i can cast plus the tensile strength of dyneema braid.
Or on a funny enough thought, homeowners launch hundreds of helium filled party ballons in their backyards with crosslinked fishing line, much like again the ww2 barrage balloons.
