There's the rub. They do not provide any evidence that the claim is true - they just want to get people to THINK it might be true. If they had any evidence to support it, they would have provided it.

It's up to Cruz to prove to people voting in the primaries that there is no risk that he'll be declared ineligible after they've cast their votes.

I note that Cruz doesn't say "My mother was a US citizen when I was born." Instead he says she was born in the US, and she is now a US citizen. End of debate.

It gives the impression that he's a slick attorney finding a weasel way around the question.

Hence why I have to side with Don Trump and say this is precarious. At the end of the day, it probably won’t matter as Cruz is way behind in the polls. But it may be an issue again in the VP selection.
