To win the Nevada caucuses, A Republican candidate should:
1. Announce that the United States Attorney for Oregon, along with all Assistant U. S. Attorneys who participated in the prosecution of Oregon ranchers Dwight and Steven Hammond, will be fired on the first day you're in office. 2. Likewise on the first day, declare that the five-year criminal sentences of the Hammonds will be commuted to time served. 3. Vow that, if elected, a top legislative priority will be legislation that abolishes the Bureau of Land Management and gives title to the 248 million acres it administers to the states in which the land is located. The federal government would retain a beneficial interest in 50% of the proceeds which might be derived from the development or sale of this land.

1. Las Vegas
2. Albuquerque
3. Denver
Looks like his ability to analyze is on the Fritz.
LOL. Yup. If you take the 3 cities mentioned out of the equation, then yeah, he could possibly be on the right track. But, kinda like the left coast and right coast determine the winner. Fly over country, some influence. I know that’s an over exaggeration but you know what I mean.
I recommend pages xxv to xxviii of this study on the economic impact on Utah of a transfer of the land from the feds to the state of Utah. http://publiclands.utah.gov/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/1.%20Land%20Transfer%20Analysis%20Final%20Report.pdf
Note that the study was done at a time when oil and other minerals were going for a much higher price than currently. Even with those higher revenues, the forecast ranged from a small profit to a significant loss to the state taxpayers. Looks like such a transfer might be a good deal for the folks in the urban east.
The big elephant in the room: Yucca Mountain.
The next President should fire EVREY political appointee on day 1. W failed to do that and the remaining ones spent years stabbing him in the back.
Give me the dough, I’m ready to glow!
It might work. You have no idea how much Nevada hates the BLM.
Let the Utah taxpayers clean up Dugway, and the Colorado taxpayers clean up the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. There is probably some work that Oregon can still do at Umatilla, and plenty of money for Washington state to spend cleaning up Hanford. You know, this transfer is sounding better and better.
Oh, yes I do. If we could just get las vegas to “dislike” them too. Can Nevada “unfriend” the blm? :>)
Wouldn’t that be nice. Could we add Forestry and EPA to the list?
Works for me.
