Federal investigators are seeking the public's help in filling out the timeline of the San Bernardino terrorists' moves on the day of the massacre last month.
Los Angeles FBI official David Bowdich said at a news conference Tuesday that officials are specifically seeking information about an 18-minute gap in the timeline between the attack at the Inland Regional Center on the afternoon of December 2 and the shootout with police in which both Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik were killed.
Bowditch told reporters that investigators hope to find out if the assailants contacted anyone in that period, between 12.59pm and 1.17pm.

The feds told us these were 'lone killers' and 'not part of a wider plot.'
What are they worried about now?
The GoPros eent somewhere. Coulda been prayer time too.
The should look at the Mosque. Folks there knew what was going down as did the mom who lived with them.
NSA\Homeland should have ALL those phone records.
Get his buddy that provided the guns to talk. Time to dust off the waterboard. Cheap, effective, and not one fatality due to its use.
They should see if they contacted the White House, we all know Obama is buddy buddy with Jihadists
I’m thinking their ‘request’ is a scheme to find out how the public will respond. And train/reward them (Pavlov), via ‘attaboys’ and media recognition. Start with these two ‘bad guys’ and morph to: Turn in your fellow citizens ...
Create profiles of who provides what type of info; which types are good/bad/etc.
Save for future use.
And maybe even find some of the FBI’s own ineptitude.
And WHY is it that whatever mysterious bad thing they did happened during THIS 18-minute gap (of all the time they DO know about)?
He also said that he saw Farook's sister Saira Khan say that she was in disbelief that her brother could have killed 14 people, but added, "I thought she was a total liar".
Very lousy reporting. The shooting happened at 11:00 am, and the shootout happened at 3:20 pm.
The feds are asking for information between 12:59 and 1:17...they’ve apparently pieced the rest of the 4 hour time block together.
The stupid reporter interprets this as “an 18-minute gap in the timeline between the attack at the Inland Regional Center on the afternoon of December 2 and the shootout with police”
Remember the police scanner discussing a witness account of guys switching out their black clothing on a freeway overpass right after the shooting? Hmmm?
Dig up Rosemary Woods and ask her where the “18 minutes” are. She knew the last time, didn’t she?
Maybe when they let the reporters go through the house, they found something.
Winner!
Might be a simple as that, or they took a bathroom break? -Tom
OOPS, you beat me to it Max. Thanks. : ) grinning FReeper, here.
Lunch time. Maybe topped for pork somewhere as a last meal.
Now, to make you feel worse, I knew the FBI agent who got the information about the secret taping/tapes. When I knew him he was working for a congressional committee and was a total schmuck - arrogant, with vest and possibly a pipe.
He got lucky with Woods because he asked her if there were any other documents, materials etc. about the meetings in the White House and she said something like, “oh, you mean the tape-recordings”.
He was featured in a Parade Magazine article, probably in the mid-late 70’s.
Talk about a lucky man being in the right place at the right time and asking the right question.
He might have been a good FBI agent (the ones I worked with were), but as a person, he was an arrogant SOB.
His boss on the congressional committee staff was also a former FBI agent and also very arrogant and not too swift when he endangered the credibility of a hearing that he had worked on.
His informant had worked for me on one occasion and I knew that he would unintentionally mess up his congressional testimony because he wasn’t coached properly about presenting certain types of information/evidence that ran to the issue of his credibility.
I took care of that with the help of a much more savvy committee Counsel.
Ah, the good old days as a reporter. Lots of things to write about, lots of bad guys exposed. Today they are made into heroes, professors and politicians.
They dropped off the third shooter in that time frame.
