Anyone waiting on Trump to "say something" that will get him in trouble is like waiting on Cruz to do something exciting. Neither will happen. They will win or lose just as they are.

Yes, politics is come-as-you-are.

I had seen Trump as the dragon-slayer and Cruz as the debater, together an unbeatable team.

Cruz cannot carry the day. This is not to say he cannot save the Republic by imprisoning Medusa as Attorney General.

Resistance to Trump is futile. As Robert DeNiro said of Joe Pesci in Casino "he will keep coming at you"

On to victory for America and destruction of her enemies.

Yeah Phil, I think Trump and Cruz are going through a necessary dance here, but I keep going back to those two meetings they had in June in NYC. You don't meet for a total of 3 hours with a competitor unless you are working out ground rules. I continue to think they agree to, as much as possible, NOT attack each other (and they've pretty much held to that), that if Trump was the nominee Cruz would agree to consider either AG or veep slot; that if Cruz won Trump would agree to bow out graciously and support him.

And I think that is exactly what's playing out.
