Ok, Folks. I'm ready for my Trump "fix" tonight @ Steven's High School.
Stevens High School is the only public high school in Claremont, New Hampshire, United States. It is in the center of the city on the corner of Broad and Summer streets. It was founded in 1868, the result of a $20,000 donation by Paran Stevens to Claremont with the proviso that the city appropriate a like sum. In the early 1990s, the school gained status as the host to one of the earlier Apple Macintosh user groups, primarily attended by high school faculty. Stevens High School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the State of New Hampshire Department of Education.
Stevens was a Claremont native who was the manager of the Tremont House hotel in Opera House Square, the precursor to the Moody Hotel. He eventually became the most well-known hotelier in America, managing the New England, Revere House, and the Tremont House in Boston, as well as the Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York City, among others. He was the grandfather of British humanitarian Louise Paget.
Stevens High School built its first addition in 1909, due to its increased student body of 156. The front of the building was expanded, adding a laboratory, classroom, a manual training room in the basement, and a headmaster's office. Enrollment quickly grew to 217 by 1914, and the building was expanded again. Enrollment was at 434 in 1929, and a third subsequent expansion added an annex of fifteen classrooms, a gymnasium, and a remodel of the auditorium and older portions of the building.
The building did not need another major renovation until 1962, with the baby boomers entering high school. The student body was nearly 600 at the time, prompting a new cafeteria, improved gymnasium facilities, and twelve new classrooms. The final annex was extended along the back of the building. SHS was an early concert location for the band Aerosmith in 1971.
LOL....I think you and I should just show up at HL’s door, at rally time, don’t you?? ;-)
What is your recipe? Brussel sprouts and Rhubarb are about the only two foods I don't like to eat. A former chef relative says anything is good/great with bacon.
Probably having grilled salmon (now that we finally have a grill, again :) and oven-roasted kale. Maybe a glass of champagne to start....then back to tea/water :)
Your menu sounds great, btw!
Come on down, over, up, the more the merrier, and more noise!!!
Come one, come all...bring noise makers, pots and pans, spoons (to bang on pots and pans) and we’ll go thru the complex and drive everyone here to join in and vote for Trump or we won’t quit till they do!!!
LOLOL!!!
OH YUM...SALMON!!! (gotta think about that pot roast...salmon, boy that sounds good!!!)
Sounds like a plan. LOL!
Do they move the cauci places around or do not announce them?
Its crazier than ever. Almost dangerous at times!
Was 446 open across Lake Monroe then?
seldom use a recipe. There are several if you google the two main ingredients
I know he plays Twited Sister We’re not gonna Take IT, but the cut the sound off to avoid paying royalties to these low lifes, who have come off from the start demanding that he NOT use their song...
I suspect the other that we hear is probably by Ted Nugent, but don’t know.
We’re Not Gonna Take IT is perfect for the campaign, and once again the guy doesn’t back off.
IIRC THAT AND changing time. One group with the official paperwork were leaving — all finished when most were arriving
I picked up a Breville Smart Grille from Williams/Sonoma. Ok, it was expensive $300, but I love it. I have it on my oven top counter, but can put anywhere.
What kind of Champagne you drinking to start as I might join you. I’m fine with even Korbel splits, Chandon would be better.
Trump cracks me up. Last night the hecklers were hilarious. He finally says the hecklers remind me of Hillary, Low energy, low stamina etc.
He says she has the biggest teleprompters in the world. They’re so big you can’t even see her face.
And did you see the tweet he sent out last night or early AM with Bill C saying he was secretly going to vote for Trump?
Yeah! Sounds great. What are we drinking?
I love these rallys. Cracks me up that they’re all live. I mean, we all know why, because the left is waiting for him to say something stupid, but then last night they FINALLY panned the size of the crowd.
If I was in Iowa, I’d be on my soap box yelling for the whole room to vote for the guy. I have no idea how it works. What do they do, have a show of hands for the candidate? Or to they have a fist fight? I mean how do they count votes? Can you buy a vote? I hear that you can campaign during the caucus. If so, can you just see Trump strolling in to one of these meetings?
This thread reminds me of our evening get together before O took over our WH. Dad always called them “the backyard fence”. And added America has a big backyard. He loved to hear the stories and would even ask about certain people.
We would share recipes, family stories, health complaints , political links and generally chat/share. A good warm family feeling. It’s something we have been missing
Alway civil and protected by disrupters by the moderators from outside abusers
Those were the days. HTML was our friend. OR we would all be typing in red or green or blue
By the time the rally starts this is going be a great post to read from the beginning. It’s barely 3pm here and I’m so excited, I want to go outside and roll around in the grass and kick my feet!
thank you
It was a good one. Very smooth ! Wild crowd Someone said they were near a university. Thought today I’ll bet many of those students were from NH Good school! Close to home!
