I understand their sentiments, but IMHO they need to rethink exactly where we are historically. We are at very real risk of losing the very fabric of the nation thousands and thousands of young men and women died to form and preserve.

They should think of Trump as a ‘backfire’, designed to stop the spread of a conflagration that could consume who we are and eradicate our way of life. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire, and irrespective of who becomes the nominee, Trump has already done a great service by reframing the entire political landscape, breaking the glass and freeing us from the shackles of political correctness and from the fear of the media that has prevented the entire nation from embracing reality. This is a great service, independent of how abrasive or rough around the edges he may or may not be. I'll take substance over form any day.
