Reagan was divorced, as well.

Kudos on the props for Trump sparking he national conversation, though.

I don’t hold his divorces over his head. I do hold the CAUSE of those divorces over his head though.

Because Reagan and Jane Wyman had divorced in the 1940s in what was a bitter bloodbath by Hollywood standards of the time, the media sought out Jane Wyman in 1980 looking for dirt on Reagan. Her life had proceeded successfully since the divorce. At the time of her interview, she had converted to Catholicism, was happily married to a successful industrialist and had a starring role on Falconcrest. When asked her reaction to the fact that Reagan might become President, Wyman said that the United States would be very fortunate to have a fine man like Ronald Reagan as President. Well, that was her last political interview and NOT what the lamestreams were hoping for.

Likewise, apparently, Trump's first wife gets along quite well with him. I don't know about Marla Maples who was the second wife. Trump does take the blame for his divorces, saying that he always tried to be a good father to his children (and it shows) but had not been as attentive a husband as his wives might have preferred.
